Every organ system and every muscle (biological drive system) is hard wired to the brain. Compare the human body with a computer driven device. Consider the brain as a CPU and a hard drive. The active brain is continually firing nerve signals, processing incoming information, initiating events, reacting to the environment and running the software that is you, your conscious mind. The body is the motor that carries the brain and contributes to sensory input and allows the device to act on the physical world.
Our minds are continually processing information and stimuli (for example, from co-workers calling for a conference call, to remembering to put certain pieces of information in a certain report, to the hum of the air-conditioner, etc.). Information is bombarding us at a constant rate. We have to process it and act upon it, like the report, or disregard it, like the hum of the AC. The subconscious will act upon the environment based upon what it knows. All of our memories are stored on the cellular level, however they are not stored in chronological order. Rather, the energy associated with the memory is what places the memory in its order. The energy attached to the memory, or the subconscious programming in place, determines the intensity of the memory and the behavior. Since the subconscious is the powerhouse for behavior, it makes sense to deal with the subconscious directly when taking control of your negative behavior patterns.
